Family Therapy

Family counseling addresses problems or issues through group therapy and involves several or all of the members in a family.  Family counseling may be incident specific, such as, during a divorce or following the death of a family member.

This counseling may also attempt to address the mental or physical illness of one family member or child.  We will work with families to teach adolescent children and parents techniques for improving communication and other relationship issues.  Family counseling can help families learn to deal with and overcome relationship issues, divorce, parent adolescent problems, depression, anxiety, self-esteem, family violence, grief and loss.   Family counseling traditionally refers to the traditional concept of counseling between parents and children.  However, it can also include counseling between other individuals who have developed strongly supportive, long term rules and relationship with one another including those who may or may not be related by blood or marriage.
